One-hour lessons every week
You and your dog train together with our trainer at our Marion facility, learning one new skill at a time.
Simple homework in between
Every lesson ends with a short plan for the week, so your dog keeps improving between sessions and you know exactly what to do.
A dog you can take anywhere
By the end of your program, your dog listens at home, on walks and out in public, and you know how to keep it that way.
Life Before and After Lessons
Every dog is different, but these are the changes Southern Illinois families come to us for most often.
Life right now
- Your dog pulls you down the street
- Jumping all over guests at the door
- Ignoring you when you call
- Chewed floors, shoes and furniture
- Barking and lunging at other dogs
- Accidents in the house
Life after lessons
- Loose-leash walks you look forward to
- Calm, polite greetings at the door
- A dog that comes when called
- A dog that settles calmly at home
- Calmer walks past other dogs
- A reliable potty routine
Choose 6, 8 or 12 Weeks
Every program is one-hour lessons, once a week. The right length depends on your dog and how much time you want to build new habits, and payment plans are available.
6 weeks: a strong start
A solid foundation of everyday manners for dogs that need the basics and owners who are ready to practice.
8 weeks: more time to practice
Extra weeks to sharpen new skills and work on a specific problem like jumping, pulling or chewing.
12 weeks: our most popular
The most time to build habits that stick. A great fit if you want a comfortable pace or have a bigger problem to work through.
Lessons That Teach the Whole Family
Your dog spends far more time with you than with any trainer, so the real goal of every lesson is to teach you. You learn how to give clear cues, how to reward the right choices and what to do when an old habit shows up again.
Bring the family. When everyone at home handles the dog the same way, your dog learns faster and the results last.

Practice Where Life Happens
A dog that listens in a quiet training room can still struggle on a busy sidewalk. As your dog gets more reliable, we practice around real distractions: other dogs, new people, parking lots, parks and stores.
That way, your dog’s new manners hold up where you actually need them, not just at the facility.

It’s Never Too Late to Start
Puppies, teenage dogs, rescues and older dogs all learn. Whether your dog has no training at all or years of habits you want to change, lessons start where your dog is today.

Dog Training Lessons Questions
How much do dog training lessons cost?
It depends on your dog, the situation and what your dog needs. Every program is customized to your goals, so we don’t charge everyone the same flat rate for different situations. At your free consultation we meet your dog, build a plan around your goals and give you an exact quote, with no pressure to sign up. Ask about our payment plans.
How long is each lesson?
Each lesson is one hour, once a week, with you and your dog training together.
Which program length is right for my dog?
It depends on your dog and your goals. Six weeks gives a solid foundation, eight weeks adds time for a specific problem and twelve weeks, our most popular, gives you the most time to build habits that stick. We’ll recommend the right length at your free consultation.
Where are the lessons held?
At our training facility at 108 E Jefferson St in Marion, Illinois. Families come to us from Herrin, Carterville, Crainville, Carbondale, Johnston City, West Frankfort, Benton and across Williamson County.
Do I need to practice between lessons?
Yes, a little. Every lesson ends with simple homework for the week. A few minutes a day is what turns a skill from the lesson into a habit at home.
Can lessons help with anxiety or a dog that doesn’t get along with other dogs?
Yes. We regularly work with dogs that struggle with anxiety, destructive habits or other dogs. At your free consultation we meet your dog and tell you honestly what to expect.
